UML Lumbini Provincial Convention: 965 votes registered in election

BUTWAL, Sep 5: A total of 965 votes have been registered in the election for the new leadership of the CPN-UML of Lumbini Province committee.

Election Committee member Bishnu Prasad Khanal informed that the voting which started at 9 am ended at 2:45 pm on Tuesday. There were a thousand and four voters present in the convention.

The current Chairman Radha Krishna Kandel and the central member Hari Rizal are the candidates for this election. Other 364 people were also candidates for the membership of the provincial committee, which contains 205 seats of office bearers and members.

The election board has said that it will start the vote counting after collecting the deposit. Out of 12 districts of Lumbini, members from 8 districts have already been elected unanimously.
