Himalayan Bank to give out smartphone in new Fund Transfer offer

KATHMANDU, Aug 27: Himalayan Bank Limited (HBL) has launched a “Fund Transfer ma Mobile Phone haatma Offer” for its mobile banking users in collaboration with connectIPS.

Under this offer, two lucky mobile banking users transferring funds from HBL to another bank’s bank account using the HI-MB App (Mobile Banking App of HBL) will get a chance to win a brand new smartphone during the offer period.

This offer will be valid from the 1st to the 31st of Bhadra, 2080. The two lucky winners will be announced at the end of the offer through a lucky draw from among the users who have transferred funds from HBL to another bank's bank accounts using the HI-MB App (Mobile Banking App of HBL). The winners will be announced in the official page of Himalayan Bank.

The fund transfer in the HI-MB app has been powered by Retail Payment Switch/connectIPS as the channel platform and it does not require separate registration. It has processed fund transfers for a value of more than 14.7 million via this channel in the fiscal year 2079/80. The current fund transfer limit in mobile banking is up to Rs. 200,000 per transaction per day.

With the growing use of mobile banking as the primary channel for fund transfer and payments, this offer is expected to generate further awareness amongst the bank customers to avail the services of mobile-based fund transfer. There are more than 170,000 mobile banking ( HI-MB App) users of HBL.
