Price of tomatoes goes down

KATHMANDU, Aug 23: The price of tomatoes has started to go down in Nepal, Kalimati Fruit and Vegetable Market Development Committee informed.

The price list on the committee's website shows that the price of tomatoes has been continuously decreasing in the last few days.

The wholesale price of large Nepalese tomatoes is Rs 120 per kg. Similarly, the price of large Indian tomatoes is Rs 140 per kg and the price of small local tomatoes is Rs 55 per kg.

Yesterday, the wholesale price of large Nepalese tomatoes was Rs 120 and the price of large Indian tomatoes was Rs 150 per kg. The wholesale price of small local tomatoes was Rs 79 per kg.

Similarly, the wholesale price of red potatoes is Rs 51 per kg, cabbage is Rs 41 per kg, carrot is Rs 116 per kg and cauliflower is Rs 86 per kg.
