Unified Socialists to hold politburo meeting from Sunday

KATHMANDU, Aug 19: CPN-Unified Socialists is going to hold its politburo meeting starting from the 20th of August.

The politburo meeting was officially scheduled for August 20 and 21 in today's secretariat meeting held at the party's central office in Aaloknagar. The central committee meeting of the party was also called for August 22, 23 and 24 in today's meeting.

The Chief of the Publicity Department of the Party, Jagannath Khatiwada, informed that the current political state of the country and the party's upcoming assignments are the primary agenda for both meetings.

"We are starting the politburo meeting starting from tomorrow. The central politburo meeting will be held on August 20 and 21. The Central Committee meeting will be held on the 22nd, 23rd and 24th", Khatiwada said, "We have already decided on the agenda. The current politics, the current situation and the upcoming assignments of the party are the main topics in tomorrow's and the day after's politburo meeting."

CPN-Unified Socialists is preparing to hold the National Convention within the upcoming month of Magh. Whether the claim for leadership of Jhanath Khanal will be accepted or not will be decided in the convention hall, said Khatiwada.
