Gold price decreases by Rs 700 per tola

KATHMANDU, Aug 19: The price of gold has decreased by 700 rupees per tola in the Nepalese market this week. 

Last Friday, the price of hallmarked fine gold in the market was Rs 111 thousand and 100 per tola. It has decreased to Rs 110 thousand 400 this Friday, according to the Gold and Silver Federation.

Similarly, the price of Tejabi gold is Rs 109 thousand and 850 per tola this Friday.

The price of silver has, however, increased this week. It has increased by Rs 15 per tola compared to last week. The price of silver was Rs 1375 which has increased to Rs 1390 per tola this Friday.

It's important to note that one tola is equivalent to 11.66 grams.
