Nepal sells goods worth 157 billion

KATHMANDU, July 24: Nepal’s export rate in the last fiscal year 2079/80 has decreased by 21.44 percent according to the data published by the Customs Department. The export rate has decreased as compared to the previous year after looking at the data from the Nepali month of Shrawan of last year to the Nepali month of Asadh this year.

In the fiscal year 2078/79, export worth Rs 200 million was made, which decreased to Rs 157 million in the fiscal year 2079/80, which is 21.44 percent less.

Similarly, in this time period, Nepal has imported 1 Trillion 611 billion worth of goods, which has also decreased by 16 percent, compared to the import of goods worth 1 Trillion 920 billion in the fiscal year 2078/79.

In this situation, Nepal suffered a loss of 1 trillion 454 billion rupees in the last fiscal year in foreign trade. The trade deficit has also been reduced by 15.45 percent. In the previous fiscal year, Nepal suffered a trade loss of 1 trillion 720 billion rupees.

Likewise, Nepal's foreign trade has decreased as well. As foreign trade declined by 16.58 percent, foreign trade was worth 1 trillion 768 billion rupees in the last fiscal year, which was 2 trillion 120 billion in the previous fiscal year.
