Government to collect 12.6 billion domestic debt from treasury
KATHMANDU, July 23: The government will collect a domestic debt worth Rs 12 billion 600 million from the treasury on the 25th of July. The Central Bank will collect the domestic debt equal to the result of the 28-day and 91-day treasury bills.
However, the Central Bank has stated that the old treasury bills will be renewed as fresh (new) treasury bills. According to the Central Bank, Rs 4 billion and Rs 8.6 billion will be renewed in the 28-day treasury and 91-day treasury respectively.
Interested banks and financial institutions can submit their applications tomorrow July 24 by 3 pm. The treasury, which is to be discussed on Monday, will be renewed on the 25th of July.
The Central Bank had previously collected Rs 17 billion 700 million from the 18-day and 91-day treasury in total.
