Nepal fails to reach Super Six after loss to Netherlands

KATHMANDU, June 24: The Nepal National Team has suffered a frustrating defeat in their last match of the group stage of the ICC One Day World Cup Qualifiers on Saturday. In the match played in Zimbabwe, the Netherlands defeated Nepal by seven wickets.

After losing the toss and being invited to bat first, Nepal scored 167 runs before being bowled out in 44.3 overs. The Netherlands reached the target of 168 by losing just three wickets in 27.1 overs.

With the loss to the Netherlands, Nepal's chances of reaching the Super Six stage have ended. The Netherlands has reached the Super Six stage upon defeating Nepal. Nepal will now play in the playoff stage.
