ICC ODI World Cup Qualifiers: USA sets 208-run target for Nepal

KATHMANDU, June 20: In their second match of the ICC One Day International World Cup Qualifiers Cricket Tournament on Tuesday, the USA has given a target of 208 runs to Nepal for victory.

After losing the toss and being invited to bat first, the USA scored 207 runs before being all out in 49 overs.

The American batsman Shayan Jahangir scored an unbeatable century of 100 runs. He hit 10 fours and 3 sixes facing 79 balls. The opener batsman Sushant Modani scored 42 runs with the help of 3 fours and a six facing 71 balls. 

Gajanand Singh contributed 26 runs with the help of 2 fours and a six while facing 41 balls. Jessy Singh also contributed 12 runs on 25 balls. Other batsmen, however, could not make runs in double figures.

Karan KC took four wickets for Nepal, while Gulsan Jha took three, Dipendra Singh Airee two, and Lalit Rajbanshi took one.
