Complainants leave Hearing Committee meeting questioning its regulations
KATHMANDU, June 14: Complainants who filed against proposed Chief Justice Harikrishna Karki left the Hearing Committee meeting in anger.
Claiming that the meeting was conducted fraudulently, the 29 complainants invited to the parliamentary committee meeting on Wednesday expressed that the meeting concluded in a question-answer style instead of discussing the modality of the subject matter.
The complainants questioned the legality of the committee after the meeting was conducted without publishing regulations of the joint committee, Advocate Amrit Kharel told Ratopati.
The complainant expressed their anger after they were not given enough time to speak, as the committee refused to accept their request to proceed with the discussion on the subject matter.
