Sandeep Lamichhane leaving for South Africa on Monday
KATHMANDU, June 4: Nepali National Cricket Team’s spinner Sandeep Lamichhane will play in the ICC World Cup Qualifier to be held in Zimbabwe. The National Team has already departed for South Africa to play a practice match for the World Cup Qualifier.
The statutory rape case filed against Sandeep Lamichhane is currently under consideration in the court. That’s why Lamichhane was unable to go to South Africa with the National Team.
“The court has postponed the hearing of Sandeep’s case to July 14. With our collective effort, Sandeep is able to play for the World Cup Qualifier. He is leaving for South Africa on Monday,” Chatur Bahadur Chanda, Chairman of the Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) told Ratopati.
