Government announces budget of 1 Trillion 751 billion 310 million rupees

KATHMANDU, May 29: The budget for the upcoming fiscal year 2080/81 will be equal to 1 Trillion 751 billion 310 million rupees. Finance Minister Dr. Prakash Sharan Mahat announced the budget while addressing the Federal Parliament on Monday, where 1 Trillion 141 billion 780 million rupees have been allocated on the current side, 302 billion 70 million rupees on the capital side and 307 billion 450 million rupees on the financial management side.

The government has brought a budget with a plan to cut costs. According to this, the budget has taken the goal of reviving an economy headed for recession.

The government has allocated 28 billion 160 million rupees to the Ministry of Water Supply, 83 billion 990 million rupees to the Ministry of Health and Population, 197 billion 290 million rupees to the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology, 87 billion rupees to the Ministry of Energy, 66 billion 170 million rupees to the Ministry of Urban Development, 58 billion 980 million rupees to the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock, 9 billion 460 million rupees to the Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Supply, 11 billion 960 million rupees to the Ministry of Tourism and Civil Aviation, 8 billion 80 million rupees to the Ministry of Labour and Social Security, and 7 billion 240 million rupees to the Ministry of Land Management, Cooperatives and Poverty Alleviation.
