Real Madrid defeats Chelsea

KATHMANDU, April 13: The Spanish club Real Madrid has defeated the English club Chelsea in the first leg of the UEFA Champions League quarterfinals. 

In the match held on Wednesday night in the Santiago Bernabeu, Real defeated Chelsea by 2-0. Karim Benzema and Marco Asensio scored for Real Madrid.

With this victory, the 14-time champions and former champions Real have strengthened their chances of reaching the semi-finals. 

Chelsea needs at least a 3-0 win to book a trip to the semi-finals.
