Nepal's great start against Papua New Guinea

KATHMANDU, March 9: Nepal is batting against Papua New Guinea in a match under a tri-series of the ICC Men's Cricket World Cup League-2. The game is being held at the Kirtipur-based Tribhuvan University International Cricket Ground. 

After losing the toss and batting first, Nepal scored 100 runs without losing any wickets in 17 overs. Opener Kushal Bhurtel has also completed his half-century. He is playing with 54 runs while Ashif Shaikh has scored 43 runs.

Nepal must win all the remaining four matches in the series to stay within the top three positions in the League. Similarly, Nepal has to secure a win at two matches to retain its ODI Status. 

Out of the total 36 matches under the League, Nepal has secured 32 points in the 32 matches played. 

Nepal is currently in the fifth position.
