Karnali's CM Sharma gets vote of confidence
SURKHET, Jan. 20: Chief Minister of Karnali Province Raj Kumar Sharma has gotten the vote of confidence. He got the vote of confidence in the State Assembly on Friday, the 10th day of being appointed CM.
In the 40-member Karnali state assembly, 25 votes were cast in favor of Sharma and 14 against. He got 13 votes from CPN (Maoist Center), 9 from CPN UML, 1 from CPN Unified Socialists, 1 from RPP, and from the Independent MP Devendra Bahadur Shahi. The Nepali Congress voted against him.
Earlier, Sharma had promised to improve the social and economic index of Karnali and to create a 'prospered Karnali' while asking for a vote of confidence. He also said that he will employ 10,000 people annually.
