Police beats APF, reaches the finals
KATHMANDU, Jan. 14: The departmental team Nepal Police Club has entered the finals of the 7th NVA National Women's and Men's Club Volleyball Championship. In the semi-final match held on Saturday, by defeating another departmental team APF by 3-2 sets, Police made it to the finals. Police won the first set 25-15. Police lost in the second set and the third set. APF won the second and third sets by 25-17 and 25-21. Police won the fourth set 25-21.
In the last set, Police won 15-7 and made it to the finals. Police will now play with whoever wins between New Diamond and the divisional team Tribhuvan Army Club. There are 15 men's teams and 8 women's teams participating in the championship which will be held until Sunday. The champions in both men's and women's teams will win Rs 4 lakhs along with the title. The second-place team will get Rs 2 lakhs and the third-place team will get Rs 1 lakh.
The best player of the championship will get Rs 25,000 and each category (spiker, setter, blocker, server, defense, and coach) will get Rs 10,000. Likewise, the internet service provider Vianet will provide 3 months of internet service to the categorial best of the competition and 6 months of internet service to the best male and female players.
