235 new exoplanets found

NEW YORK, Jan. 5: According to the American space agency NASA, by the end of 2022, astronomers have discovered more than 200 new planets outside our solar system. With this, the number of exoplanets has reached 5235.
“We started the year with less than 5,000 confirmed exoplanets. What will the new year bring? More planets!' NASA tweeted. Planets outside the solar system are called exoplanets. About 4 percent of exoplanets are said to be rocky like Earth or Mars.
According to NASA, the launch of the James Webb Space Telescope has helped the search for more exoplanets. The Hubble Telescope became successful thanks to the most powerful laboratory ever sent into space. This telescope is still in operation. It began broadcasting its first cosmic images in July.
