Lama elected Bagmati Province's PP leader of Nepali Congress
MAKAWANPUR, Dec. 28: Bahadur Singh Lama has been elected the Parliamentary Party (PP) leader of Bagami Province of the Nepali Congress.
Lama represented Nuwakot in the Provincial Assembly and defeated Indra Baniya from Makwanpur.
In the election held on Wednesday, Baniya, who was also the Province President of Congress got 16 votes, while Lama got 21 votes.
All 37 MPs participated in the election. Lama moved to the Province from the House of Representatives to become the Chief Minister. But, the possibility of Congress leading the government is less, after the change in the alliance equation.
