Industrialists suspend their protest following talks with government

KATHMANDU, Dec.28: The ongoing protest of industrialists has been suspended after talks with Finance Minister Bishnu Paudel today. Industrialists across the country were protesting against the increase in interest rates.

The outgoing President of Commerce and Industry Federation, Bhawani Rana informed that the industrialists' protest has been suspended. Industrialists from all over the country were present in the discussion.

The governor and the secretaries of the Ministry of Finance also participated in the meeting. During the discussion, Finance Minister Paudel asked for a few days to address the industrialists' demands. The industrialists on their part maintained that they have postponed the protest with an agreement that their demands are met.
