760 new cases of COVID-19 recorded on Thursday, one death

KATHMANDU, Aug 4: Nepal on Thursday recorded 760 new cases of COVID-19.

According to the latest data from the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP), 760 people were diagnosed with the disease in the past 24 hours. As many as 5,926 tests were conducted at the same time.

Similarly, one person who had earlier tested positive for the virus died in the past 24 hours taking Nepal’s COVID-19 death toll to 11,969. 

There are currently 5,602 active cases of COVID-19 across the country as of Thursday afternoon.

Likewise, the Kathmandu Valley recorded 351 new cases of COVID-19 on Thursday. Of them, 246 were detected in Kathmandu, 17 in Bhaktapur and 88 in Lalitpur districts.
