Khotang earthquake: Causes damages to two school buildings, one police office, 75 houses
KATHMANDU, Aug 2: A massive earthquake measuring six magnitude in the richter scale that hit eastern Nepal has caused damages to two school buildings, one police office and 75 houses.
According to the District Disaster Management Office, one has been completely damaged while others have suffered partial damage.
These damages were recorded in Kepilasgadhi Rural Municipality-5, Diktel Rupakot Majhuwagadhi Municipality-3 and Halesi Tuwachung Municipality.
According to Rabi Prakash Rai, chairman of Sakela Rural Municipality – the epicenter of the earthquake – so far as many as 464 houses have suffered damages.
The earthquake that hit Khotang on Sunday was the strongest to be measured in Nepal after the devastating earthquake of 2015.
