710 new cases, two deaths recorded on Thursday

324 new cases recorded in Kathmandu Valley

KATHMANDU, July 28: Nepal on Thursday recorded 710 new cases of COVID-19.

According to the latest data from the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP), two cases of deaths related to the disease were also recorded on the same day.

In the past 24 hours, 5,024 COVID-19 tests were conducted. Of them, 524 PCR tests and 183 antigen tests turned out to be positive for COVID-19.

With the new cases detected on Thursday, Nepal’s COVID-19 active case tally now stands at 4,236.

Similarly, 215 people who were earlier diagnosed with the virus recovered in the past 24 hours.

The Kathmandu Valley on Thursday recorded 324 new cases of COVID-19. Of them, 244 were detected in Kathmandu, 16 in Bhaktapur and 64 in Lalitpur districts.
