All the seven people who succumbed to COVID-19 recently were unvaccinated

KATHMANDU, July 27: It has been learnt that all the seven people who succumbed to COVID-19 in the past 11 days were unvaccinated against the disease.

Of these seven people, six had not received any shots of the vaccine while one had received only a single dose, according to the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP). Likewise, six of them were older than 50 years while one was 36.

So far, 7,212,622 have received COVID-19 booster shots in Nepal. Similarly, there are currently 23,327,619 people who are older than 12 years. Of them, 91.6 percent have received their first dose while 88 percent have been completely vaccinated.
 In an alarming case, Nepal on Tuesday recorded 638 new cases of COVID-19 along with two more cases of deaths related to the disease.
