Bhattarai faction of JSP to oppose party’s decision to reshuffle Cabinet

KATHMANDU, July 4: Faction of the Janata Samajbadi Party (JSP)-led by Babu Ram Bhattarai has decided to oppose the party’s decision to reshuffle the Cabinet.
The Bhattarai-led faction of the party is meeting the Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba and is to urge him not to abide by the party’s decision ‘solely’ made by party Chair Upendra Yadav.
“The party Chair Yadav took the decision for Cabinet reshuffling solely. We are against the decision,” said Ganga Shrestha, executive member of the party.
The party’s decision to recall its ministers from the government and replace new ministers comes at the time when the party is at the brink with Chair Yadav and Bhattarai agreeing to choose separate paths.
