53 new cases of COVID-19 detected on Sunday

KATHMANDU, July 3: As many as 53 new cases of COVID-19 were detected across the country on Sunday, according to the latest data from the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP).
Of the 2,120 tests conducted on Sunday, 53 tests turned out positive for the disease with 27 new cases being detected in the Kathmandu Valley.
The number of active COVID-19 cases has reached 333 as of Sunday afternoon.
Likewise, as many as 47,044 people received COVID-19 in the past 24 hours.
Similarly, A lab test conducted at the Dhulikhel Hospital confirmed the BA.5 subvariant of the Omicron variant of COVID-19.
