Maoist Center concludes that the party failed to achieve targeted results in local polls due to betrayal from insiders and dishonesty of Nepali Congress
KATHMANDU, July 3: The CPN (Maoist Center), one of the key coalition partners of Nepali Congress-led government, has maintained that the party failed to achieve targeted results in local polls due to betrayal from insiders and Nepali Congress not being honest.
Addressing the central committee meeting of the party, Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal said that the electoral alliance forged among members of the ruling alliance was not as successful as expected in the local polls.
Dahal also accused the other members of the ruling alliance of trying to make the CPN (MC) lose in the elections. “We were honest toward the electoral alliance but other members turned out to be opportunists,” Dahal said.
Besides, Chairman Dahal also vowed to take action against those members of the party who choose to betray the party during the local poll.
