Following UML’s obstruction, HoR meeting postponed for Wednesday
KATHMANDU, June 14: Following an obstruction from the main opposition party, CPN-UML, the meeting of the House of Representatives (HoR) has been put off for Wednesday.
The Speaker of the lower house, Agni Sapkota postponed the meeting for 11 AM, Wednesday.
The deliberations on the Appropriation Bill will be continued on Wednesday, according to Sapkota.
The main opposition party, CPN-UMl, also demanded the resignation of Finance Minister Janardan Sharma accusing him of involving unofficial personnel in the budget preparation process and changing taxes.
Bishal Bhattarai, the chief whip of CPN-UML in the HoR meeting maintained that the party will continue the House obstruction unless a committee is formed to probe the case.
