NC lags behind in vote count in Bhaktapur Municipality by 24,000 votes

KATHMANDU, May 16: Candidate of Nepal Workers' and Peasants' Party for the post of mayor of Bhaktapur Municipality, Sunil Prajapathi, is leading the vote count with a popular vote.

Prajapathi has so far garnered 27,660 votes while his nearest contender, Ram Prasad Kasula of Nepali Congress has got only 3,199 votes.

Likewise, the candidate of Nepal Workers' and Peasants' Party for the post of deputy mayor has so far got 28,110 votes while the candidate of CPN-UML in the second position has collected only 2,724 votes.
