UML candidate Subedi leads vote count in Bharatpur metropolis

KATHMANDU, May 16: Bijay Subedi, CPN-UML’s candidate for the post of mayor of Bharatpur Metropolitan City is currently leading the vote count as of Monday morning. 

Subedi has so far garnered 3,667 votes. His nearest contender was Renu Dahal, CPN (Maoist Center)’s candidate representing the ruling alliance, who collected 3,653 votes.

Likewise, Jagan Nath Poudel, an independent mayor candidate, got 1,413 votes.
