Sunita Dangol garners thrice as many votes as her nearest contender in KMC

KATHMANDU, May 15: Sunita Dangol, CPN-UML’s candidate for the post of deputy mayor of Kathmandu Metropolitan City, has garnered twice as many votes as her nearest contender as of 4 PM Sunday.

Dangol is currently leading the vote count in KMC for the post of deputy mayor with 2,884 votes. Her nearest contender Rameshwar Shrestha, CPN (Unified Socialist)candidate, has collected only 823 votes despite being backed by the ruling alliance.
