Candidates of ruling alliance leading vote count in Birgunj

KATHMANDU, May 15: Rajeshman Singh, candidate for mayor of Birgunj metropolis representing the ruling alliance is currently leading the vote count.

Singh has so far garnered 1,507 votes while his nearest contender Bijay Sarawagi, UML’s candidate, has collected 668 votes.

Likewise, Imtiaz Alam, candidate of the ruling alliance for the post of deputy mayor of the metropolis, has collected 1,012 votes while his nearest contender Purushottam Lal Jha, Loktantrik Samajbadi’s candidate backed by CPN-UML, has collected 160 votes.
