UML candidate Subedi leads vote count in Bharatpur metropolis

KATHMANDU, May 14: Bijay Subedi, CPN-UML’s candidate for the post of mayor of Bharatpur Metropolitan City is currently leading the vote count.

Of 55 votes counted so far, Subedi has garnered 23 votes. His nearest contender was Renu Dahal, CPN (Maoist Center)’s candidate representing the ruling alliance, who collected 19 votes.

Likewise, Jagan Nath Poudel, an independent mayor candidate, got seven votes.
