Conservation project to protect Beni Bazaar from river erosion

 

Beni (Myagdi), The Beni Bazaar Conservation Project designed to protect district headquarters, Beni Bazaar, from erosion of the Kali Gandaki and Myagdi Rivers has almost come to a final phase. 
The project of over Rs 110 million has been designed to save the district headquarters from high risks of rivers erosion. 
Under the project, the Water Induced Disaster Prevention Sub Division Office, Baglung had started the construction of RCC and machinery walls in the banks of Kali Gandaki and Myagdi rivers at the cost of 112.2 million. 
The construction works are planned to be completed within next seven months. 
A technical team comprising engineers of of the Water Induced Disaster Control Sub-Division Office is monitoring the construction works every day.
