Province 2’s Industry Minister Ram Naresh Raya relieved

KATHMANDU: Minister for Industry, Tourism and Forest of Province 2 Government, Ram Naresh Raya has been relieved of his ministerial portfolio. 

Province Chief Hari Shankar Mishra, at the recommendation of Chief Minister Lal Babu Raut, relieved Minister Raya as a member of the provincial Cabinet on Tuesday. 

CM Raut made the move to include one of the coalition partners CPN (Unified Socialist) in the provincial government. 

Raya had earlier been asked to step down as the minister. He, however, had been denying to resign citing he had not got any directive from the party. 

CM Raut had already included Nepali Congress (NC) and CPN (Maoist Center) in his government. 

According to sources, Shatrudhan Mahato, parliamentary party leader of CPN (US) is joining the Raut government.
