Home Minister Khand designated acting prime minister

KATHMANDU, Aug 22: Minister of Home Affairs, Bal Krishna Khand has been designated the responsibility of acting prime minister. 

Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba designated Minister Khand the responsibility of the acting prime minister ahead of his week-long visit to look after the day-to-day administration of the country in his absence. 

PM Deuba left for the UK on Friday morning where he will be joining the World Leaders Summit of the 26th Conference of Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP 26) being held in Glasgow on November 1 and 2.
