CJ Rana to bench 28 cases Thursday

KATHMANDU, October 28: Chief Justice Cholendra Shumsher JBR is scheduled to conduct hearings of 28 cases in his single bench on Thursday.
Earlier on Wednesday, CJ Rana conducted hearings of five cases even though the Justices of the apex court decided to boycott the bench.
The Nepal Bar Association, the Supreme Court Bar Association and other justices and advocates have demanded the resignation of CJ Rana and are pressuring him to step down.
Meanwhile, justices who are against CJ Rana are scheduled to hold a meeting at 11:30 AM on Thursday. The meeting has been summoned to boycott the hearing of CJ Rana, a SC Justice told Ratopati.
