Police arrest 11 Afghan 'refugees' from Kathmandu
KATHMANDU, October 25: Police have arrested 11 Afghan 'refugees' from Kathmandu on Monday.
Eleven Afghan refugees have been arrested for investigation from a hotel in Sinamangal, SP Shyam Kumar Mahato of the Central Bureau of Investigation told Ratopati.
It has been learnt that these people have travelled to Nepal seeking hostages in Nepal after the Taliban took control in Afghanistan.
The government will take action if these people are found to have entered Nepal without fulfilling required procedures, said Fanindramani Pokharel, spokesperson for the Ministry of Home Affairs.
