NC becomes first party in Bardiya in terms of PR votes; 19,811 votes invalid
Bardiya, The Nepali Congress (NC) has secured the highest votes towards the proportional representation system in the recently held elections to the House of Representatives and State Assemblies.
As per the final results of the vote count in the district, the party has obtained 66,089 votes towards the House of Representatives and 60,450 in the State Assembly.
A total of 190,812 out of 272,477 voters were cast towards the PR system in the district that has one seat in the center and two for the State Assembly.
The CPN (UML) has come out second in the PR system by securing 46,728 in the House of Representatives and 44,114 in the State Assembly. The CPN (Maoist Center) has won 45,698 votes in the federal parliament poll and 44,328 towards the State Assembly.
Rastriya Prajatantra Party (3,949 votes in the center and 3,564 State Assembly) and Bibeksheel Sajha Party (1,412 in the center and 1,026 State Assembly) are in the fourth and fifth positions respectively.
Rastriya Prajatantra Party (Democratic) has won 1,277 in the center and 1,277 towards the State Assembly, the Federal Socialist Forum, Nepal has secured 902 in the center and 870 votes in the State Assembly, Naya Shakti Party, Nepal has got 792 votes in the center and 870 in the State Assembly, and Rastriya Janata Party Nepal has secured 749 votes in the center and 729 votes in State Assembly.
In the district, 19,811 PR votes and 11,377 House of Representatives votes were invalid, according to Information Office at the Office of Chief Election Officer, Bardiya, Indra Kumar Karki.
