Deuba to visit floods, landslides victims of Kailali and Bardiya today

KATHMANDU, October 22: Taking the stock of victims of recent floods and landslides triggered by unseasonal incessant rainfall, Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba is paying similar visits to Kailali and Bardiya on Friday, according to Bhanu Deuba, PM’s personal secretary.

Prime Minister Deuba has been taking stock of floods and landslides in Sudurpaschim Province since Thursday.

Nepal has been largely hit by an unseasonal incessant rainfall from Sunday. As of Thursday as many as 104 people have died, 41 have gone missing and 41 others have sustained injuries across the country.

PM Deuba visited and met with flood and landslide victims of Doti, Baitadi, Bhajang, Dadeldura and Kanchanpur on Thursday. 

PM Deuba is scheduled to return to Kathmandu at 4 PM today.

PM Deuba has been accompanied by Finance Minister Janardan Sharma, Tourism Minister Prem Ale, former minister trio NP Saud, Ramesh Lekhak and Bir Bahadur Balayar.
