100 days of PM Deuba: 24 achievements unveiled
KATHMANDU, October 20: It has been 100 days since the President of Nepali Congress (NC) Sher Bahadur Deuba was appointed the Prime Minister of Nepal.
Deuba was appointed Prime Minister as per an interim order of the Supreme Court on July 13. Deuba then formed a coalition government of NC, CPN (Maoist Center, CPN (UML), Janata Samajbadi Party (JSP) and Rastriya Janamorcha Party.
Marking the 100 days of PM Deuba, his secretariat has unveiled 24 achievements made by the government during the period.
1) Balanced ‘Nepal First’ policy
2) Successful Vaccine Diplomacy
3) 10.5 million COVID-19 vaccine management
4) 32.6 percent of targeted group vaccinated fully
5) Establishment of investment friendly environment
6) Create economic stability
7) Aid to COVID-19 hit businesses and industries
8) COVID-19 transmission controlled effectively
9) Security management
10) Effective national disaster risk reduction and management
11) Increase in revenue collection
12) Trusts established to promote start-up businesses
13) Expansion of electric transmission lines and facilities
14) Expansion of roads
15) Legal drafts prepared to provide free legal services across the country
16) All the local government connected via internet
17) Made it possible to view details and pay taxes online
18) Digital archiving of government documents
19) Distance learning process was brought into operation for students in rural areas.
20) Immediate response during natural disasters
21) Decision made to provide Rs 5,000 monthly to patients of heart, kidney and spinal injury.
22) Announcement of relief aid worth Rs 10,000 to extremely poor households.
23) Announcement of ‘Earning while studying’ and ‘Women First’ programs for youths and women respectively
24) Announcement of providing Rs 500,000 each to players of Nepal’s National Football Team who were first runner-up in the South Asian Football Federation Championship (SAFF) recently held in Maldives.
