Unseasonal rain claims 30, 31 missing across the country

KATHMANDU, October 20: Incessant rainfall in the past few days claimed the lives of 30 people and 31 others are still missing across the country as of Wednesday morning.

According to the spokes[erson of Nepal Police, SSP Basanta Kuwar, as many as 30 people have died to the incessant rainfall in the past few days.

Sudurpsachim  Province was most hit by the unseasonal rainfall. As many as 26 people have sustained injuries in the province. Likewise, eight were killed in Doti, three in Baitadi, two in Dadeldhura, one in Kalikot, six in Dhankuta, two in Illam and two in Sunsari.

According to the latest data provided by the Division of Disaster Risk Management under the Ministry of Home Affairs, as many as 400 people have been displaced in the same time.
