PHOTOS: Rains damage paddy crops in Sudur Paschim

KATHMANDU: Incessant rains since Sunday evening have damaged ready-to-harvest paddy crops in various places in Sudur Paschim Province.

Paddy crops and vegetables in Kailali and Kanchanpur districts have been ruined. The crops have been submerged in rainwater.

The country has been witnessing heavy rainfall due to the collective impacts of winds from Bay of Bengal, the low pressure belt shifting to north from middle of India and westerly wind.
