COVID-19: Nine deaths and 591 new infections

KATHMANDU: A total of 591 new cases of COVID-19 werer reported on Monday.

New infections were revealed in 9,697 tests, according to the Ministry of Health and Population. The infection rate is 18.6 percent.

 There are still 11,874 active cases of COVID-19 in the country, including four districts with more than 500 cases and 17 districts with more than 200 cases. The districts with more than 500 cases are Kathmandu, Lalitpur, Bhaktapur and Kaski.

Meanwhile, nine people died of COVID-19. So far, 11,293 people have died due to the virus.

As many as  27,701 people were vaccinated against the corona virus. So far, 8,415,067 people have been vaccinated with the first dose while 6,470,195 people have been fully vaccinated.
