PM Deuba calls on Prez Bhandari, discusses swearing-in of ministers
KATHMANDU, October 8: Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba called on President Bidya Devi Bhanadari at Sital Niwas on Friday.
As per PM Deuba’s preparation to expand his Cabinet on Friday, he held a discussion with President Bhandari regarding the swearing-in of new ministers by Friday evening.
The meeting was held at the time when the Ordinance on Oath (introduced by predecessor KP Oli Government) was annulled and a new law is yet to be formulated.
Earlier, controversies had erupted following the swearing-in of Foreign Minister Dr Narayan Khadka.
PM Deuba is preparing to induct new ministers and is likely to give his Cabinet a full shape.
Ministers from the ruling alliance- Nepali Congress, CPN (Maosit Center), CPN (Unified Socialist) and Janata Samajbadi Party- are to be appointed later this afternoon at 4 PM.
