PM Deuba begins preparations to expand Cabinet today
KATHMANDU, October 8: Almost three month after the appointment of President of Nepali Congress (NC) Sher Bahadur Deuba in the post of Prime Minister, the Council of Ministers is getting its full shape on Friday.
The Prime Minister Deuba so far has appointed only five ministers and a state minister.
PM Deuba is all set to expand his Cabinet on Friday, said Banu Deuba, PM’s personal secretary.
A meeting of the ruling alliance held on Thursday took some final decisions on Cabinet expansion and addressed issues of distribution of ministerial berths.
As per the agreement reached between the ruling alliance, Nepali Congress will get eight ministries and two state ministers, CPN (Maosit Center) will get six ministers and CPN (Unified Socialist) and Janata Samajbadi Party will get four ministers each.
