Ministerial berths for Maoist Center finalized, to get three more ministries
KATHMANDU: The ministerial berths to be allocated to CPN (Maoist Centers), one of the coalition partners, have been finalized.
According to a Maoist party, the party will get three other ministers and ministers of state positions. In the seven-member Cabinet, the party has two ministers at present--- Janardan Sharma as Finance and Pampha Bhusal as Energy ministers.
A meeting between Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba and Maoist Center Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal Prachanda reached an agreement to this effect.
According to the leader, the party will lead either health or education ministry. “We are also leading the Ministry of Federal Affairs and General Administration and Ministry of Land Management, Cooperatives and Poverty Alleviation,” he said. He also added that they would also be entrusted with the responsibility of the Ministry of Youth and Sports.
The ministerial divisions will be finalized by a meeting of the top brass of the ruling alliance.
