CPN (UML) Chair Oli boycotts all-party meeting summoned by PM Deuba

KATHMANDU, September 30: Chairman of CPN (UML) KP Sharma Oli boycotted an all-party meeting called by Prime Minister Deuba on Thursday morning.

The meeting was summoned at the PM’s office residence at Baluwatar to discuss the continuous House obstruction by the CPN (UML) and find a solution.

CPN (UML) has been maintaining that it won’t participate in any sort of meeting attended by CPN (Unified Maoist) formed by the sprinter faction of the party-led by Madhav Kumar Nepal.

Earlier, CPN (UML) took action against 14 lawmakers including Nepal. These lawmakers then registered a new party named CPN (Unified Socialist).

The CPN (UML) has also filed a writ petition against the EC and Speaker Agni Prasad Sapkota regarding the registration of CPN (Unified Socialist) and the case is sub-judice at the apex court.
