NRB to launch Monetary Policy today

KATHMANDU, August 13: Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) is releasing the Monetary Policy today.  The NRB Board of Directors meeting today approved the policy and it is being released today. 

The monetary policy is prepared targeting to address COVID-19 hit economy and prop up the industries and enterprises affected by the pandemic.  It is said the monetary policy is prepared in the periphery of the previous fiscal year's monetary policy.  

Monetary policy is understood as the policy of supporting the economic growth target set by the Government by maintaining macroeconomic stability and mobilizing financial resources to expand economic activities in the country.
