Nepal reports 2,351 new COVID-19 cases, Kathmandu Valley 1,051

KATHMANDU, April 21:As many as 2,351 more people tested positive for the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19) in Nepal in the past 24 hours. 

According to Dr Jageshwor Gautam, spokesperson for the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP), 2,220 cases were detected through the 8,844 RT-PCR tests while 131 others through the 803 antigen tests on Wednesday. 

Meanwhile, the Kathmandu Valley reported 1,051 new cases in the past one day. Of the three districts in the Valley, 786 new COVID-19 cases were detected in Kathmandu, 84 in Bhaktapur and 181 others in Lalitpur.
