Dengue fever on the rise in Mahottari
Bardibas - The number of people suffering from Dengue fever is on the rise in Mahottari.
More than 400 people are reported to have been infected with the disease transmitted by mosquitoes in the past few months. As a result, the Bardibas hospital, Swastik hospital and Janasewa hospitals are full with people coming for check-up and treatment, according to District Health Office, Mahottari.
Meanwhile, doctors have advised people to maintain cleanliness in their surroundings and cover up poodles and potholes filled with water. 'The search and destroy' campaign to destroy larva and pupa of the Aedes aegypti kind of mosquito must be continued, medical officer at the Bardibas hospital Dr Kishore Adhikari.
